Manitoba Education Releases K-12 EAL Curriculum Framework

NEC is very excited to see that Manitoba Education has finally released a K-12 English as an Additional Language Curriculum Framework. Work on this curriculum framework began in 2005 and has become a key priority area for our coalition, advocating for its finalized release since our inception.
This framework will be a tool and resource that can be used both in the education system as well as within the community to guide educators on the needs of newcomer, immigrant and refugee learners from early to senior years.
A job well done to those that have worked both inside the system and to those community advocates that never relented in showing the necessity of having this curriculum framework accessible here in our province.
