Continuing The Journey to Equitable Schools

The Newcomer Education Coalition (NEC) envisions schools that are welcoming, inclusive, and equitable, where every student is respected and has the opportunity to thrive and achieve their social and educational goals in a culturally proficient, safe, and supportive environment.

In line with this vision, the NEC invites you to participate in an Equitable Schools Learning Series, where you will have the opportunity:

• Share your experiences working towards equity in education.

• Deepen your knowledge, understanding of the experiences of racialized, and newcomer students, in particular.

• Acquire practical tools and strategies centered on equity to help create and maintain equitable schools.

This series aims to foster a community of educators and stakeholders committed to making a positive impact on all students, ensuring they have the support they need to succeed in their educational journeys.
